The piston type air compressor is a reciprocating motion mechanism, and there is this inertia force that cannot be eliminated. Therefore, it has high vibration and high noise during operation. A larger piston type air compressor requires a special fixed foundation for installation. The screw air compressor is a rotary motion mechanism with good balance, low vibration and low noise, and no installation foundation is required.


The piston type air compressor is a reciprocating and intermittent air supply, with large air flow pulsation during operation, the screw compressor has a high speed, stable air delivery, and no air flow pulsation, which can meet the needs of users who require higher air volume.


Piston air compressors basically have no automatic control system. The screw compressor has a complete automatic control and protection system, which is a mechatronic product, which facilitates the maintenance and management of the equipment, and also minimizes the energy consumption.


Screw compressors can tolerate higher speeds, so their structural volume is much smaller than piston air compressors with the same displacement, and compressors with the same power have a much larger displacement. In addition, there is a cooler inside, so the exhaust temperature is about 50-60 degrees lower than that of a piston air compressor.


If there are too many types of models used, they are too scattered, which is not convenient for equipment management, and also increases the number of wearing parts, which will inevitably increase the cost of normal operation. At the same time, the scattered layout exacerbated the pollution to the production environment.


Piston-type air compressors suffer from the wear of piston rings. Although there is an oil scraper ring on the piston during operation, a lot of lubricating oil will still escape into the cylinder and be discharged together with the gas. This reduces gas quality on the one hand, and increases fuel consumption on the other. The screw air compressor has high-efficiency oil and gas separation system and filtering equipment, high air supply quality and low fuel consumption. It is precisely based on the above situation of relevant departments that many domestic enterprises have gradually phased out piston air compressors with high operating costs and low reliability in the use of medium and low pressure air compressors, and replaced them with high-efficiency screw compressors.
